It's strange how many RW causes are connected with racism even if you wouldn't expect it

That this thread got diverted from religion to race indicates the salience of White Christian Nationalism in America.

Then there's the "insurrectionary theory" of the 2A. It was not New Deal legislation but civil rights legislation that started so many white rural Americans thinking the federal government was growing tyrannical, and that they need to be armed to resist it. See certain public statements of the infamous Cliven Bundy.

More broadly, a lot of white Americans seem to think they personally need guns just to defend against the n-words. In The Turner Diaries, what finally provokes the White Nationalists to active revolt is federal gun-control legislation called the Cohen Act (of course), which allows no private ownership of firearms at all. (How this is squared with the 2A is never explained.) Around the same time, the SCOTUS rules that laws against rape are racist and therefore unconstitutional.

Even RW opposition to the general liberal/leftist commitment to economic equality is rooted at least in part not in libertarian principle, or belief in the superior efficiency of laissez-faire or supply-side economics, or fear of socialism as such, but in the fear it would raise nonwhites to social equality with whites -- and, worse, force white taxpayers to pay for it all.

Of course, the Trump Admin's obession with stamping out DEI presents no mystery at all.

It is an undeniable fact that post-1964 Movement Conservatism could never have gotten as far as it did -- culminating with Reagan's 1980 victory -- without appealing to millions of white Americans who were angered by the Civil Rights Act and transferred that anger to everything else they identified as "liberal" or "left" or Democrat.

There can be no doubt the present immigration politics are racist. It would not be a hot issue if the immigrants were coming from Canada instead of Mexico -- and that is not because Canadians speak English.
I notice nobody disputes this.

Or can.

In political battles with the Democrat Party, race is an ever-present theme, unsurprising, given that racism has been one of its most defining traits, both historically and in its modern manifestations.

the Democrat Party
You are an idiot.
, race is an ever-present theme, unsurprising, given that racism has been one of its most defining traits, both historically and in its modern manifestations.
Its modern manifestations all involve fighting racism, as you know.

They do not involve "race-baiting" or "anti-white racism" or any "Democrat welfare plantation," as you know.

It is no coincidence that Reagan began his 1980 campaign by dog-whistling about "states' rights" -- in Neshoba County, Mississippi, not far from where Chaney, Goodman and Schwerner were murdered in 1964.

Ian Haney Lopez' Dog Whistle Politics provides a very in-depth overview of how the right used racism to destroy the safety net. The conventional wisdom used to be that everybody falls on hard times sooner or later and there's nothing wrong with getting help when you need it...until too many people came to believe their tax dollars were paying for lazy you-know-whats to live on welfare.

I have no association with racism or racist content. I am not a Democrat. Those are your traits.

That's not your decision to make. It's like telling us you're honest or nice (which I imagine you think you are, but that's beside the point).

Post the evidence.
I've done so dozens if not hundreds of times. But the most obvious example would be the way you always insist you've never told us what race you are. You absolutely have done so, between the lines, and the fact that you're so oblivious to that is conclusive proof of your absolute cluelessness as to what POC have to live with.

I don't suppose anyone ever imagined, when they heard about something called the Alt-Right, that it had to do with extreme economic Libertarianism or anything religious.
