i know that's not anything new for many of you, but it's rare to get snow here. It happens maybe once or twice a year. Coming from the mountain states where a three foot snowfall in a day is not uncommon, it's a shock to the system. It's a big deal for me to see snowfall at all.

Damn I must live in the wrong place... that looks more like frost on the lawn than REAL snow!!!!

We trade off for the occasional really nasty ice storm. The last one literally shut the state down for three days. Still want to move in?

Actually, this is one of the open areas.

There's enough open area in the pasture behind the house for us to be able to have hay every year, and the inlaws' land across the road is open. The house is surrounded by trees. Three apple trees, a couple of black walnuts, two i can't identify, and a bunch of evergreens.

It's snowing here too... but it's not been cold enough for it to stick. I'm tired of this yo-yo weather. 60s one day and low 30s and snowing the next... and two days later supposed to be back in the 60s.
