At least a half an inch on the roads already. Kids will be out of school the rest of the week. More snow forecast this weekend.
You gotta love the south.

Big fucking deal LOL

When you guys hit the 2 feet mark...call me, and then you can bitch :p

Half an inch????

I can still wear t-shit and BBQ in that weather.

You get the feeling no one's impressed?

Snow in Georgia is pretty amazing, but you get to play in your snow. Those of us further up the coast don't want ANY of it!

HALF AN INCH!!!!

Do you know how much snow I have?!?! Last week we hit the 82.9 inch mark here in Buffalo!!!!! Quit bitching!!!

Weird. I read the original post in this thread and didn't see any "bitching."

I think some serious fucking is needed to lighten up the BB, tonight.:D :p ;)

Does this mean you all want to hear about how the sun is blazing down with heat here in New Zealand. The sand is hot and the surf is rolling in. The birds are singing and crickets chirping :D

*shall I tell them about the smile... ah what the hell*

AND I have had a great stuffing smile on my face all day:D ;)

More snow this weekend? Sunday night perhaps.

I'm feeling incredibly cheated here. Our scheduled break doesn't end until Monday. Those other teachers are getting an two extra days of vacation. I want some snow days too.

Sorry, I just go off when half an inch closes down anything.

Sweetie, I understand but what you must understand is this:
when an area is not used to having snow and ice- estimated levels of 6 or more inches is a big thing.
When the area doesn't have the equipment, money, or manpower that NY has- it's a bit tough.
So, don't fret. ;)

Enjoy your night!

I understand

I understand it full well, having relatives who live in the south. Still, having shoveled yourself out of 7 feet of snow leaves you cold and exhausted and a smidgen cranky. Cheers, and hope nothing bad happens to anyone with the white stuff.

S'ok and understandable. Nothing's wrong with white stuff though- especially when it's hot and creamy. ;)

And now back to the weather bulletins....

I like your mind

In all honesty, I didn't even think about that until after I posted. hehe. Like your avatar by the way.

Thanks!
I had a headshot for a while but I tired of it.
I like this av..it resembles my skin tone, and hair.......plus it's not too revealing, but enough to inspire some thoughts.

Opps-hijacking the thread- sorry, guys.
:)

I want snow

I really do

Please, someone who has snow has to adopt me so I can get snow :D

Damn these messed up New England Winters.... it'll be snowing close to march....

Gladly

Basia, I'd gladly adopt you or even send you some snow from my yard. I have plenty to spare ;)

still snowing. Must be 4 to 6 inches. Athena is by the window looking like she wants to go out. Caspian just looks cold.

I woke up this morning to the radio announcer saying something like "what we can handle in our sleep is closing down the south this morning..." :D

I've been in North Carolina after a few inches of snow fell. I spent more time trying to avoid the horrible southern drivers than I did worrying about the snow on the road. It was like demolition derby. Here's a hint for all of you- stepping hard on the gas will NOT get you away from that snow covered intersection faster.

Sorry, sweets but we all know that 75% of the inhabitants of NC and other southern states are northern transplants. Who showed up at my hubby's job today? 2 guys formerly from Del. and NJ. Ha!
All the southerners stay at home and watch Regis and Kelly. They have sense.

Disclaimer- joking, facetious tone......maybe, a lil :p

I spent a winter at Chanute Air Force Base in Illinois. I see little virtue in Northern winters. Judging by the great southern migration of the past 50 years, I don't really believe yall yankees love it THAT much. You'll never see someone in Atlanta celebrating in a bar about being transferred to Minnesota.

So go ahead, make your driving jokes. And I'll send you pics of our early Spring.

Yep, WriterDom. I was covering that very thought, in the above post.

I saw 2 neighbors this morning. Both are from NY. :D

Not when I was there. They were all out driving and trying to step on the gas as hard as they could to get out of being stuck at the intersections. Northerners would know better. :D
