"It's Not a Compound" - remix

Cloudy...a little disappointed in you...

This is manufactured, dubbed, overdubbed, a production piece with malice afoot.

These women do appear stilted and ill at ease. So perhaps would Jewish mothers after the Gestapho took their children away by force from the only home they had ever known.

I thought perhaps you might compare it to the atrocities committed against Native American children who were removed from their families and educated and Christianized by zealots.

Our children weren't removed because there were allegations of child abuse. They were removed in an effort to eradicate our cultures.

Two different circumstances.

Is it different, really? FLDS is an offshoot of Mormonism, a way of life for many people. If the allegations are false and no laws were broken, no crimes committed, what then my fine feathered friend?

My sister is a very devout Mormon, but mainstream LDS. I've defended their right to choose the way they worship many more times than once on this board, even though I, personally, think their beliefs a little off.

However, when allegations of child abuse are made, they absolutely have to be investigated. What's making this situation almost impossible is that there are so many children, and that the families aren't cooperating even a little bit, but in fact, are lying about damn near everything to those doing the investigating.

Again, to be repetitive but not argumentative; were it one child being investigated or even the children of one mother, one could understand. But 437 children at the same time?

Someone is out to abolish that particular enclave if not all the FLDS and I doubt the legality of that.

I don't think so.

The background is that someone called in, and reported that they were 16 years old, and were being sexually abused by men in that "compound" (for lack of a better word). They also said that there were other children being abused.

Warren Jeff's own nephew (who grew up there), has gone down there to testify at the court hearings about his own abuse at their hands, and the abuse of others.

In a situation like that, how else could CPS have handled it?

Not making any predictions on the outcome but I feel certain that rights have been violated.

Possibly.

I still don't see any other way it could have been handled, honestly.

Always had a thing for Ozzie girls...guess it is because they are on when it is beginning to be late night here and most others have drifted away.

'Tis an often lonely existence - the only regular Aussie here. ;)
Sorry Ami, but I'm gonna stand you up - just popping in briefly before heading out for the evening.
