IT'S NICE TO KNOW THEY'RE WORKING SO HARD FOR US

Are you folks as thrilled as I was to learn that the federal government has it's boxers in a bunch over online gambling? Today the House is going to vote on a measure that would ban the use of credit cards to pay online bets. This could very well cripple any online gambling sites. How nice.

Nobody's rights are being violated here. If someone wants to place a bet on an Internet card game, let him do it! All that happens here is that the stupid are relieved of the burden of having too much cash in their pockets.

In the meantime ... wouldn't it be nice if the congress could vote on something that might make a difference in our lives? Something like ... say ..... tax reform or dealing with the deficeit?

don't even live in the US but I agree totally. Maybe they are just upset cause their bookies (mob buddies) are losing too much money! We all know how corporate lobbiests hold the power. Whether they are legal lobbiests or not!

I am sure the legal casinos in Reno and many other places are also behind the idea. Online betting has to cut into their take too.
