It's Halloween so where's the horror? Here of course.

I usually do a horror thread every year and earlier than this, but life's been a bit of a horror itself lately and I figured I'd see if someone else would do it.

But no takers, so your resident horror hound will pick up the dark mantle one last time.

So, to quote a favorite line I'm fond of using in stories and in real life. It's time to...

Ride or die, witch.

Keep your Twilight and Anne Rice's wimpy whiny vamps.

This movie-not well known and underrated-shows Vampires as they should be. Lance Henriksen always delivers

Fright Night an 80's bloodsucker classic with Rowdy Macdowell, Chris Sarandon and Amanda Bearse, most famous for her role as Marcy on Married with Childred

Will be doing mostly older movies here, but when Robert Eggers decides to take on Nosferatu, that needs a mendtion.

Great cover of Cry Little Sister made famous by the Lost Boys soundtrack

Heh, used that for a story before, love that movie.

I was looking up a favorite scene from Street Trash and discovered they've made a remake of it and now I'm gonna need a few minutes.

I don't do horror. I do HaHaar

'Ooh Bazonkers? I never counted on bazonkers!' Transylvania 6-5000

'Put. The. Candle. BACK!' Young Frankenstein.

Few remakes match the original, but 2013's reboot of The Evil Dead more than delivers. Enough from the original to be faithful to it, but enough differences to let it make its own way. It also got the franchise back to being a horror and not a moronic slapstick comedy like ED2 and Army of Darkness were.

Following that up with 2023 Evil Dead Rise. Came out last April, and being my birthday and my younger daughter's birthdays are same month and same week, we went to see it. This thing delivers in all the gory ways.

Alter is a great YT channel that produces Horror shorts. Some amateur, some with known actors and directors, and all good stuff. Being this is Lit, it's a good place to post

'Snake Dick"

Probably not everyone's cup of horror tea, but damn do I love a good horror musical. Terrance Zdunich has a great voice, too, he would do great Poe readings.

I haven't seen this one yet. Need to.

Godzilla King of The Monsters. 70 years and still going strong.

American trailer with Raymond Burr

I was a teenage werewolf starring Michael Landon, a Creature Double Feature staple

Eerie #1 published in 1947 is acknowledged as the first comic dedicated solely to horror

Cool slide show depicting the covers of the original run

I DON'T DO HORROR!

Looks at own signature...

Ooops... forgot. Sorry.
