Having being away from Lit for some considerable time; the reason being my lover and I found that human emotions are governed by the heart, and not by the laws of man. As well as the deep and intense love we have for each other, it also brings with it a little guilt, and apprehension on both our parts. Therefore I cannot understand why so many people seem compelled to judge others by their own set of standards and values? Providing it’s consensual, and causes no physical or mental harm, and is confined to the consenting parties in private, What appeals to one person may repulse another; but that doesn't automatically make one right and the other wrong; it just makes them different. That; which in some cultures and societies certain practices are deemed as unacceptable, other cultures and societies accept as the norm. If I personally find something distasteful or repulsive I stay as far away from it as possible, I certainly don’t go looking for it, and then castigate the people whose mode of life it is. If the old adage of “live and let live” was applied, the world would be a far better place to live in. That is why I have returned to the fold, it is only within the confines of the Lit forums have I found people of understanding and compassion, not to mention the comedians who have the tears of laughter running down my cheeks with some of their posts and replies. “It’s good to be back”.
