I've gone from being homophobic toward gay men (a long time ago), to being extremely bi curious. How does that work?

Like a lot of guys here, it's sexual experiences I'm wanting and certainly not a relationship - but how does one go from being disgusted at the thought of two men having sex, to being really turned on by it?

Yeah yeah, I'm the typical bi curious who really wants to perform oral on another guy. All the other stuff is OK too!

I like hanging around the GLBT Forum because I'm also a typical man in that I just LOVE lesbianism. I know ladies, us men are just so predictable eh?!

I guess I'm saying nothing new here - except perhaps the part about my complete turn around regarding guys going with guys.

I tend to believe your true self emerges once you peel off all of the layers of negative social conditioning. Would you have thought it was disgusting if no one had told you it was wrong or bad?

People change, learn and evolve. It happens. Give yourself credit for being able to break out of your homophobia. :)

While I was never disgusted by women together it never turned me on until last year when circumstances awakened a sleeping beast in me and I started exploring my bi-sexuality. I'm happier with myself now.

I hope things work out well for you and you decide to explore your own sexuality.

Yeah, go figure. You're not alone, Alex.

Now, what would the world be like if homophobia had never existed? Has anyone ever written a book about that?

What kinds of things would be different?

I'm Gonna Burn for this One...

...but I gotta say it.

Kerry would be president!

Let the punishment begin.
But seriously, I'm not saying this to start a political war, or to just gather attention to myself. Hell, based on my post count of less than 1200 in 4 years, certainly shows that I'm not for attention.

Anyway, it was a reaction that I couldn't resist. I think I need to go back to my post-election mantra of: The Cure for Election Rage

And now to lay low. :)

I don't know if Kerry would have been president but gay/bi people wouldn't have needed him to be because if homophobia didn't exist then same-sex couples would already have equal rights.

Any history buffs out there wanna give this a shot? Where does the alteration of history begin?

Good point, DarkAurora. And now I feel like we've opened up an episode of Star Trek or X-Files, and we're trying to find where the track of history would have changed.

Or even better, it's like the Ray Bradbury short story called the "Sound of Thunder". At least, I think it was Bradbury. Hmmm.
