Hey Crim, there shouldn't be a min requirement for avatars. It is a vbulletin like this one, so look for the same place you would change your pic. Also PM'd ya !

I did. There was no option to change it. It just said use no custom avatar and that was chosen. You couldn't unchoose it and there was no upload button to put your own av.
