Sitting at his desk, the vice president of marketing types away at his computer. Having reviewed the latest sales figures and cross checked them with advertisement and sales campaigns, Jason could not help but feel pride. Since taking over the position from his predecessor, he had brought sales back from a deficit to a profit fifty percent higher than the previous year. However, he could not spend long gazing at his success because not only did he need to prepare the next campaign to propose to the board of directors, but he also needed to create a new marketing goal for the following marketing goal.

Glancing at a proposition from one of his executives, his reading was interrupted by the ringing of his phone. Picking it up, he hears the wizened voice of the CEO's secretary telling him to report to the CEO because she wished to speak with him about something or the other. Telling the secretary that he would be over shortly, he quickly wraps up his work, grabs a folder filled with the data that he was just analyzing and walks away, closing and locking his office behind him.

Stepping through the halls, he nods at some of his subordinates and stops for a few seconds to congratulate a woman who was recently engaged. He had actually ordered a cake for her out of pocket so that his department could enjoy some bonding time. In his experience the better a group melds, the better the work. As he reaches the door of the secretary's office, he warmly says hello, dreading what was to come. His relationship with the CEO is less than warm. She has always treated him like shit, feeling a sharp pain in his head for a split second, he straightens his suit and prepares to walk in.
