Okay I have been working on a fan/celebrity story and though it is still in rough form it is taking a while to get to the sex a little oral in two areas before the big bang of sex, and I thinking that this might be a problem. So, is it? Would it cut the chance of getting posted on Lit if it takes a while for the sex to really get going?

I've never heard of a story being rejected because it lacked sex or took a while to get around to it. And I'm pretty sure there aren't criteria requiring sex at all, as there is even a Non-Erotic category.

Good luck winding it up and getting it all in there.

p.s. Welcome to the AH.

Even readers are much more tolerant of delays getting to the fuckin' if the byplay with the celebrity personalities is amusing beforehand.

Celebrity stories have a built-in cushion, that way, with the readership.

For some readers on here - yes, for others - no. The fact that it is celeb will please some readers, others it will put right off.

In short, there are all kinds of readers on here; some you will please others you won't

At the moment, I'm writing a story that's already a whopping thirty pages in Microsoft Word and still no sex. The way I figure it is that those who like a story that builds up will read it, and those who don't will not.

Don't sacrifice the length of a story merely because you're afraid some people won't like it. The story will dictate how long it's supposed to be, it's just that simple.

My first story, which I divided into four chapters to post here, had almost no sex for the first three chapters.

All the chapters have done quite well for themselves. All the comments I received said more about the plot, characters and settings than the sex.

So, length isn't really a problem. Neither is lack of sex.

As snoop said, there's all kind of readers here. You're bound to get some who like what you write.

hell i'm up to my 75th page with no sex, my characters kissed and made out but no sex its going to be really special when they finally do make love

Wow and here I was worried because the sex in my story didn't start until the bottom of the second page on Microsoft word doc when using a 12 pt font.

I guess I must onyl read the stories that jump in to the sex quickly. HEHE

Thanks!
