It's 5 PM and my DSL line is about to take a shit

Every weekday at 5PM (EST) my connection to certain sites bogs down. Lit. is virtually unreachable. Usually lasts for an hour. Fridays are the worst.

Not all sites seem to be effected and Lit isn't hte only site effected.

From my connect point it seems to be west coast sites primarily. So. Cal specifically. I can still hit the silicon valley sites fairly easily.

Anyone else have similar probs.?

No - not really. Must be all those Sillycon valley workers getting burnt out and going to go cruise the porn sites until getting off work (or they are coming home early).

East Coast here. . .I've noticed the same problem at just about the same time. I almost gave up on Lit. just now, I surfed through three or four other sites while this one was loading.

Well - I noticed that particular slowdown just a few minutes ago, and it was not just Lit. - it was my whole connection. I thought it was due to my satellite connection (which sometimes does that), but I guess not.

DSL here. . .I'll have to pay more attention to whether the lag occurs at the same time every day.
