Road trip!

Denver (CNN) -- Colorado will begin allowing recreational marijuana sales on January 1 to anyone age 21 or over.

Residents will be able to buy marijuana like alcohol -- except the cannabis purchase is limited to an ounce, which is substantial enough to cost about $200 or more.
It's a big moment: Colorado will become the first state in the nation to open recreational pot stores and become the first place in the world where marijuana will be regulated from seed to sale. Pot, by the way, is the third most popular recreational drug in America, after alcohol and tobacco, according to the marijuana reform group NORML.

Here are 10 things to know about what will be a closely watched landmark law.

Ask yourselves one thing, fuckers.

Would this have happened with Mitt Rawmoney at the helm?

Yeah, let's travel across the states for an ounce of legal weed.

What a boring ass life you must lead.

It's been so long for me that I'm not sure I would still like it, especially enough to drive all the way to New Amsterdam.

Petey! How much room do you have at your house?

I would put in a winky face to imply a joke, but I would never joke about marijuana. Serious business.

Colorado has had medical weed for years. Legalization, at least for me, was not about supply and demand. The fact that the people spoke up, voted, and succeeded in getting back a civil liberty is a huge thing.

Hopefully other states will follow.

What if you're not a resident? Will you need a Colorado license as proof of residency? I can see a scenario where neighbouring states set up roadblocks at the border.

You need ID dude...come on. There might be some circumventing of the law, but it will settle down. I envision just a normal existance in the near future. Hell, I can get pot anytime I want, without trying too hard. Whats the big deal? Every party I've been to this holidays season, I've smelled the scent of pot floating around....and I'm talking a mixture of ages, people enjoy the stuff

The article says 1/4 Z can be sold to an out of state buyer; 1 Z with a Colorado license.

Not legal to smoke in public - must be on private property. Ok to share, but can't sell it. Can grow your own but can't sell it.

There is a company that wants to pick you up at DIA, let you smoke your brains out all the way up I-70 to the ski area, and then smoke your brains out on the way back to the airport after a day on the slopes.

One of the concerns was that the driver of the bus would get a contact high on the way up the hill.

:)

The driver can wear a mask :) I have not skied while baked in ages.

I was thinking about a summer trip for a hike at Bryce in UT, but maybe I'll have to look at some hiking options in CO.

NY just took a big step.

ALBANY — Joining a growing group of states that have loosened restrictions on marijuana, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo of New York plans this week to announce an executive action that would allow limited use of the drug by those with serious illnesses, state officials say.

The turnabout by Mr. Cuomo, who had long resisted legalizing medical marijuana, comes as other states are taking increasingly liberal positions on it — most notably Colorado, where thousands have flocked to buy the drug for recreational use since it became legal on Jan. 1.

Who's next?

Almost didn't happen with dickless jack wagons like Vette and his GOP god's that he loves to worship threatening the admin with impeachment if they didn't get out and freedom the fuckin' shit out of some hippies.

Tensions are high in CA...CO put the pressure on Oaksterdam

let them smoke!

tax them!

take power and money away from obama's friends the drug cartels. I'm sure this will have an impact on obama illegal gun sales

Now we can take away some of the toys from law enforcement

Keep them docile, easier to rule the people that way....
