Items you refuse to skimp on...

I have a dear friend who is a published and resected poet. She only writes poems long hand and on the most expensive parchment. Me, I splurge on restaurants.

interesting thread. my sons said to me at Easter time when I asked about basket contents, "just NO cheap chocolate. If it isn't the good stuff, don't bother"
(then my oldest winked and said.. "you did this to us" )

if I had to select a category.. I tend to splurge when I travel to NY:

AGL shoes for walking
The Surrey for a place to stay
Il Mulino for Italian
and apparently, the hotel coffee is worth 22.50 a cup

Ok i dunno how many shots in a cup but I can get great triple distilled Irish whiskey made by actual Irishman from Irish barley and distilled and transported from Ireland for $8 a shot.

You give me $100 and I will have Juan Valdez personally select several handfuls of coffee beans, FedEx them to his cousin Jorge at the coffee roasting plant, fedEx them to his cousin who else was probably the doorman at that hotel, who will fresh grind them brew them and deliver a full quart of coffee to your door with a smile and your change.

that made me laugh

I'm going to add "time" to my list.
I pay someone else to cut my grass because i value the time..
I pay someone else to clean my floors for the same reason..
I even have a membership at a place so I don't have to wash my own car..

but really it's because I want to spend that time doing what I want to do.

But with a name like giggle gasms something tells me that you're not exactly a tough crowd.... But an obligatory chuckle is always appreciated.

Cat food and cat litter. Only the best for my little :cathappy:

And earrings - I LOVE earrings

Coka Cola - I just can't stand cheap alternatives. Guess familiarity breeds habit in this instance.

I won't skimp on hair products, body care products, chocolate, liquor, handbags or electronic devices.

Honestly, my wife said Mac and Cheese. We could buy the cheap stuff, but prefer the cheesier one.

I don't skimp on ear phones (a certain brand that costs me $20.)
