Items you refuse to skimp on...

We all have to make sacrifices in these hard times. Good to see your doing your bit, BBB. :D:D
Going green with your household cleaners too. Very sustainable.

Thanks. It's difficult, but we have to do what we have to do.

Yeah, that going green thing is a good thing. That's what they tell me.

Shampoo & conditioner....hair products in general, really. I do a lot of damage to my hair, so it needs lots of love to keep it healthy looking.

Ritz crackers (there is no good substitute), foundation make up, sheets, vodka, tequila, gin, bourbon, jewelry, lotion, tissues and toilet paper. I'm sure Hubby can think of others, but he knows I'm right ;)

Meat, Dairy....anything that comes from a animal. I will only buy organic with no antibiotics, etc. One of my children has allergies and I prefer him eating things that I know things were not "added".

...now that is only of those type of foods. He can scarf down the cheetos with the best of them....:D

Work shoes

Daily wear clothes. If I'm gonna wear it, it has to last.

Makeup. Not that I wear a lot of it, but its gotta work.

Health and safety products. Yes, it may look weird that I have a duffel bag full of stuff in my trunk, but if the time ever comes when I need to deal with an emergency on the road, I'll be able to handle it with a minimum of fuss.

Lingerie. If it's next to my skin all day, it has to be comfortable. And for the right situations: provocative.

Home décor...especially art work...furniture...and bedding...

Landscaping...beautiful flowers and trees everywhere...

Presents and care packages for my family and loves ones...

And having tons and tons of books...a never ending collection...

interesting thread. my sons said to me at Easter time when I asked about basket contents, "just NO cheap chocolate. If it isn't the good stuff, don't bother"
(then my oldest winked and said.. "you did this to us" )

if I had to select a category.. I tend to splurge when I travel to NY:

AGL shoes for walking
The Surrey for a place to stay
Il Mulino for Italian
and apparently, the hotel coffee is worth 22.50 a cup

Good, real food....actual whipped cream, organic strawberries to dip in it, rich dark chocolate to savour...

Oh, you got my list!

I will add in towels...nice thick fluffy towels. Good bed sheets. Food, period. Life is too short to eat crap.

Water. It has to be soft and it has to have a filtration system to get out all the crap like chlorine.
