Items you refuse to skimp on...

I find I don't like to skimp on anything. I've grown into a relatively picky person
One of my 10 commandments is "you get what you pay for".

L:rose:

Shoes.. especially dress shoes. Allen Edmonds or bust!
Sushi ;)
Alcohol
Guitars... There's a lot of interpretation here.
Sunglasses
Coffee

Kitchenware. A set of high quality, kitchen knives is the cats meow.

Sheets. Gotta have soft sheets.

Climbing boots. I like comfy feet.

Coffee
Vehicles
Vacations

Overall, I've never regretted paying extra for quality, but there have been times I've grown to regret taking the cheapest option. You don't always have to spend the most to get the best, but you do need to do your homework, in my opinion.

tea
footwear
corsets - you're paying for the engineering!
washing up liquid
rucksacks

I don't have one, but last night we drove by a tattoo parlor with a sign for $20 tattoos. I'm pretty sure I would never skimp on a tattoo.

Pretty much anything of good quality...I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for. Not to say that everything of high quality is a name brand....but majority rules. :)

Seasonings because I am goid cook. I also don't buy cheap coats.

I'm also a firm believer in that principle, but I also think you have to do your homework. Recently, I needed to replace my over-the-range microwave, and I assumed I'd be paying in the $500+ range to get a good one. After researching on Consumer Reports, I learned that GE had a $200 model (stainless steel) that performed as well or better than models that were 2-3 times more expensive. I bought the $200 GE microwave, and it's been great and is built solidly. In that case, I found the quality without the cost. I don't consider that skimping.

Makeup. Especially lipstick. I buy Ysl a lot. I won't buy any drugstore makep, except Essie nail polish.
