I want to know why they thought robbing a 7-11 was a good idea. That's gotta put them on the Darwin list.

I know. It's like they were told don't sweat it we'll get you out, but were left to hang. Stupid.

Or, they were wannabe terrorists who acted on their own, found themselves trapped in a net with no resources, and reacted in a really stupid way.

I have no idea, but both are possible.

The suv they carjacked was empty on gas and they had to stop. I guess they also went to three atm machines withdrawing 800 dollars from the suv owners accounts then let him go.

Yeah, either way they sure weren't thinking ahead.

Pro tip: Have a stash of cash and a gassed up vehicle on standby. And steal someone's tags, not the whole car.

It occurs to me as it turned out, they planned just fine.

Everything went perfectly.

Yes, I'm fine they weren't too bright.

Thought I heard a report that the robbing was not committed by the two bombers. I believe the report said that they had been in the store, but it was not them who robbed it a bit later.

I could be mistaken, but I did hear that reported at some point during the day they got them.

They didn't rob it, they where there when it was being robbed getting gas.

Huh. I missed that in all the chatter. Good that Mr. Murphy shined on them.

Boston bombing suspects did not have valid handgun licenses

The two brothers suspected in the Boston Marathon bombings, who police say engaged in a gun battle with officers early Friday after a frenzied manhunt, were not licensed to own guns in the towns where they lived, authorities said on Sunday.

In the confrontation with police on the streets of a Boston suburb, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were armed with handguns, at least one rifle and several explosive devices, authorities say.

But neither brother appears to have been legally entitled to own or carry firearms where they lived, a fact that may add to the national debate over current gun laws. Last week, the U.S. Senate rejected a bill to expand background checks on gun purchases, legislation that opponents argued would do nothing to stop criminals from buying guns illegally.

I still think background checks are a good ideal.

Firearms

Motorized vehicles

Houses

Buy, rent or lease...well Let's talk.
