I finally had a coveted little red H next to my story yesterday. :) It was there for half the day, but vanished overnight. I think it was kidnapped while I slept. :eek: I'm waiting for a ransome note to arrive any minute! lol Better luck next time, I guess.
 
IMHO, it's a lot harder to get those little red H's, since the institution of the new "Star Voting System".

I've yet to keep one for more than a few days on any of my new stories. I haven't received any ransom notes, either.
 
Nitwits and trolls

I have some "nitwit" who goes through my scorecard on a regular basis lowering my scores and erasing my red H's. I had 88 red H's, now I'm down to 25.

I'm glad they can't remove my Green E.

Wait until you get a story in the top spots. I had a few number one stories with a perfect 5.0 until the trolls come and torpedo the score down to 4.48. I have dozens of stories with scores of 4.43-4.48.

This place is fucked up. There are too many guys who are just here to piss on everyone's parade. They never contribute a story, they just enjoy bashing your story.

I had suggested that Literotica make those who wanted to vote to log in and rid the anonymous voter, but they'll never do that.
 
The appropriate defense is to cultivate the fine art of not-giving-a-fuck. I'm happy to get one nice comment, which lets me know that somebody "gets" what I was trying to accomplish. That's plenty of feedback for me.

By the way, Boston, I think your stories are excellent.

I work hard writing my stories. This is my passion. I am so freaking lucky that I finally found what I love to do.

Wow, I need to look at my list and see if it's lost any H's. There are a couple of them which most of the time never have an H but every now and then they'll acquire one but it'll go away again.
 
I have some stories that are about 4.50, and sometimes I notice they have a red H, and the next time I look it's gone. Even a vote of "4" will do that.

I have one red H on a story from late Jan and four from early Jan. Actually all of those are chapters of stories. On the most recent posted story, I'm not getting much voting. :(

Most of my stories hover just above or below red H territory. They blink on and off like fairy lights. :)

My best scored story doesn't even rate the toplist, but one of my worst does.

OOhhh... a green E... how do you buy one of those??? lol By the way, no ransome note yet, but surely any second it will arrive, right? THen my little red H can come back home.

The way I do it is go to the actual location of the story, highlight and right-click on the address, select copy, then right click on this reply window and paste it here.

It's that easy. :D

Plus I feel your pain. Mine hover around that 4.5 line too, and I just lost one of my H's for a story I was really proud of. I don't get many votes, so one bad vote can be devastating.

The worst is when you have a 5.0 going but you don't have enough votes to make it count for an H. One of my stories had only 6 votes for a long long time, then after a random sweep It went down to 4. :rolleyes:
 
I wonder how much one of the blue Ws would cost? lol I see that there are some people that have multiples of them. They must be related to Bill Gates or something. Either that or own a bunch of oil...
