Hi all!

The telephone mob was supposed to come out on Friday to investigate whether or not they could hook up the phone to the existing (unmapped) cabling. But there was a possible hiccup involving the need for a "new pit" to be put in and we would be informed if there was to be any change. They would ring my mobile phone.
Our mobile phone network failed in the early hours of Wednesday morning and finally returned on Thursday afternoon.
So I rang to double check they were still coming on Friday. They weren't. They're now coming on Tuesday.
I hope.

I got a call on my mobile on Tuesday arvo saying he was on his way. He never got here.
Finally bod came on Friday. Took him an hour and a half to sort our which wires went where between the exchange and our place (4km, and nothing was marked in the pillars). After nearly three hours he had completely lost his sense of humour and was in dire need of a stiff drink, but we had a working phone.

Our internet provider took all of 10 minutes to set up the change of line. Took Telstra a week to actually change it. And then only after we'd rung and mentioned the words "telecommuting" and "loss of income". Those words worked like magic and we had a net connection within an hour.

So I'm back.

Anyone miss me?

lol, I'm not entirely sure I'm the best person to be asking that since I've been pretty MIA myself lately. Stupid school with it's stupid library hours.

As for me, I'm hanging in there. I'm exhausted both mentally and physically, but I'm starting to get a bit of my cheerfulness back. Magica and I broke up about a week ago, so I've been kinda down in the dumps, but I'm making a comeback.

I have a year of student teaching and credential classes before I can become a teacher, but I did earn my BA in Music. And the break up was the right move for both of us. I just don't deal with break ups well.
