Last night, I heard what sounded like rain but only on one side of the house.
It was a little freaky, so I went out to check what was going on.
And found hundreds of thousands of christmas beetles frantically beating against the window.
It's official - Christmas is here!

It can be a bit daunting when I have to out into the paddocks on my own at night... but that's because I'm worried about the uneven ground.
Being so far out, and given that a lot of the time I'm alone up here, it would be bad if I broke an ankle or something.
Still - it has to be done.
