It Is So Fucking Hot in My house!

So my thermostat has been kinda screwing up for the past....well...ever since I moved into this house. But it wasn't hot then and I tend to procrastinate.

Now, the thermostat is ka-put! And I am sweltering. I have most of the windows open, but it's not helping cuz there is no breeze.

I gotta call my landlord, but there's a minor problem. I normally never smoke in my house and even signed a cause in my lease saying that I wouldn't. Well...........I kinda have over the past week.

So, I'm trying to air it out so that I can call my landlord and ask him to fix the thermostat. I just don't want his Mom and Step-dad coming over. His mom is somewhat of a busy body and the last time she was here she wanted to check out everything in the house.

So, I've not finished unpacking, been smoking (various substances) in the house, and need to do various household chores.

This does NOT look or smell good.........

Get some fans going. The movement of air does wonders. (It doesn't so much cool the air as it cools you.)

It was only today that I turned on the A/C in my place and that was only because of the humidity. (85%) I do not like it when m bed feels like a damp sponge.

While you're buying those fans, get a six-pack of extra strength air fresheners and some floral scent spray.

Is that a digital thermostat? The batteries might be dead.

And check the breaker box--a switch may have tripped.

Yes, it's digital....where are the batteries located?

Febreze is a wondermous thing. One bottle outta do ya for the carpet, drapes, etc.

Is "Lo-Batt" or a graphic of an empty battery flashing on the screen?

Flip open the cover--they should be visible-- or pull the whole front of the thermostat off--some models have to be removed from the wall to add batteries--all of them usually use 1 or 2 AA's--occasionally AAA's.

Vornado. The best indoor fans on the planet. So sweet when it's sweltering.

I have the febreeze for allergens and that's not helping....it has no smell.

I thought that I would burn some patchouli..............not a good idea. My house now smells like a Grateful Dead concert, which I happen to like but I don't think it will go over too well with other folks.

One wiff of that stuff and my nose runs for an hour. I can't stand that stuff at all...
