It is easier to get older than it is to get wiser.

*laughing*

Maybe I need more caffeine, but that was just ridiculously funny.

Hey Ish, Kevin Spacey in American Beauty. Mid-life crisis or taking control of his life?

Morning. :)
Both. Pity he had to... Oops. Don't wanna ruin it for those who have not been.

Can one take control of their own life without having to trample on the lives of others?

Is the commission of adultrey, the betrayal of trust, required for this 'taking control'? And exactly whose fault is it that one's life becomes 'out of control'?

All that aside, mid-life is a form of temporary insanity. It passes and the only thing of concern is the damage you've done to yourself and others while passing through it. It is not an epiphany, although it's impossible to argue that with those that are in the midst of it. You are basically the same person on the back side that you were before it ever started.

He didn't commit adultery - he only thought about it. Plus, his wife was a complete bitch who was fucking somebody else anyway.

I just watched this movie again the other night. I can really relate to Spacey's character in that movie.
