Israel and Russia alliance continues to grow with increased military, cultural, political, and economic ties.
Israel is not participating in "western" sanctions against Russia, and is actively trying to fill the void left by the western agricultural boycott. Joint ventures between Israeli agricultural ventures and Russia are growing.
Israel is negotiating a free trade deal with the Eurasian Union, and even the idea of entry into the organization was raised by Russian speaking right wing Israeli leader Avigdor Lieberman, who is a strong supporter of ties between the two countries.
Israel is actually turning out to be a bright spot in the new multi-polar world and perhaps moving toward its own version of "sovereign democracy" as Russia describes its support for sovereignty and independence in world affairs.
