Hun, even if you had cried, who's to say you haven't made progress? If there's one thing I've learned - grief is a sneaky bastard. You're going along your daily life, you think you've moved on, and BAM! Something happens that reawakens the hurt and makes the tears well as if from a fresh wound. I lost my cousin nearly 17 years ago (she was the big sister I never had) and there are days I still cry for her and mourn what might have been.

Be gentle with yourself and cut yourself some slack, ok?

as a general rule, i don't get judgmental about lit categories. but every now and then, the perennial creation of certain threads make me think that the entire incest category should be eliminated entirely.

i know, i know: the fact that some people are too fucking stupid to separate fantasy from reality is their own fault. but in my weak moments, i just can't help thinking it.

My friend's dog died Monday evening. I'm so sad for her because having this dog to come home to every evening helped her make a somewhat smoother transition from single mom to empty nester.

Sadly, though, looks like I'm going to need a smaller bra cup...too bad the boobs can't stay while rest of the extra body fat goes away.

I have to admit, that I answer the little voice in my head that says you should go on a diet with "but that will make my boobs smaller"

(with the side caveat that I'm very much in a healthy weight for my age/height and I already have an above average activity level)

In my efforts to take better care of myself I have been focused on getting enough sleep, eating less, and exercising nearly every day. My hard work's starting to pay off: I'm wearing jeans two sizes smaller than two month's ago and, yep, I found some obvious ab muscles. Running a 5K next weekend!!

You ladies are inspiring. My son came to me 3 years ago and said, "mom will you run with me." Prior to that my policy was I would only run if being chased by something much larger than I. So we donned running shoes and did it for a year--then life crashed in on us and we got away from it. We've been talking about it again and are just trying to get out the door at this point. I think you maybe nudged us one inch closer to the door.
