I really need to start following the old adage of 'shit or get off the pot' and get up and start getting stuff done. I've got quite a few different things I want to accomplish in the next two months. It's not going to happen if I'm finding ways to consume my time avoiding doing those things.

yea, me too.......

just don't particularly like the prospect of moving those heavy jacks in the basement. need to level another section of the main floor, then repair the inevitable cracks in the wall plaster.

Then have you heard? Masterpiece Theatre is doing a Jane Austen marathon in November with new releases of Pride & Prejudice, Persuasion, Mansfield Park, Northanger Abbey, and Sense & Sensibility! I've got it marked on my calendar to keep watch on for the exact dates.

Time to curl up with a few good period pieces and be all girly

Oh, I'm putting it on my calendar too. Pride and Prejudice has been one of my favorite books for a very long time. I usually read it again every couple of years or so.

The last theatrical version of Pride and Prejudice (with Keira Knightly) was lovely. I felt it did a remarkable job capturing the time period and the performances were dead on (except I still can't buy Donald Sutherland as the Bennett patriarch).

Moi?

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised

The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.

A couple of questions..........

.......for the women:

Do your moms or someone take you aside when you are young and teach you that you need to be forever changing the rules in a relationship?

And do they teach you how to intentionally misunderstand what a man says when it concerns sexual advances?

Just curious.
