My girlfriend's daughter survived the train wreck in France!:nana::nana::nana:

Everyone is safe and sound, east of the river.:)

:( Stella. Sorry.

I'm just posting in here quickly; may not be online for a couple of days.

The line manager did something so stupid it will probably lead to her being disciplined - or me sacked, LOL, you never know in academia .

And it has all gone very Stepford here, so much so that I don't even feel like flirting (much, LOL).

The good news is, I was able to briefly catch my colleague who is taking formal action against the line manager, and promise him support if he needs it, so something is being done and not by me for once.

Also, my nephew is coming to stay :). I have been a big part of his life since he was a baby, and get to have him stay once a year which we both really enjoy. He does have special needs so he is a bit time-consuming, and I probably won't have much time to come on here while he is around.

Be good guys! or at least be careful <snerk>. Always remember to make that werewolf wear a condom.

PS Left some pix for you in my blog, dampy, right here. Don't get too excited! they are only of my pussy ;) .

You, me, and Tio all have black cats. That's weird, I think. Hope you find homes for the little ones.

Excellent! So glad to hear that!

Me, too. Thanks, PennLady. One shouldn't go on vacation and end up dead. Haven't heard the whole story, yet. She had posted on FB that she had had no idea what was going on. The train just stopped! She must have been in one of cars in the back, but I can't imagine what it was like.

I was traumatized when I was told that I had to walk down the globe at Epcot when the ride broke down. but all the cars were still on the track. I guess you can say that I walked around the world.:D

Tonight my wife and I went to a local multi-screen cinema to see the Royal Ballet's production of ballets choregraphed by Frederick Ashton.

It was a fabulous experience, including short works I haven't seen before.

The only disappointment?

The audience was SEVEN people. Afterwards all seven of us complained to the multiplex management that they hadn't advertised (except on-line in an obscure part of their website) the event at all. It wasn't in the local press, nor in the multiplex's free movie magazine, nor on display at the venue.

Although ballet has a limited audience, it isn't THAT limited. The Royal Ballet's last screening at that venue had an audience of 90. A previous one was booked solid two months in advance.

The current humidity: 100% and no, it isn't raining.

It's going to be a muggy one today.

#3 son has just been sick. I have just cleaned it up and washed him down. I'm now lying on the couch. Not sleeping. I have to drive around 120 miles tomorrow. Not to mention walk round miles of stalls selling wares you'd have to be mentally ill to want. There is a fly in the room, dive-bombing me.

Really?
