Hot damn! It's light all the way 'til 1730 now.
It's amazing how fast that changes. The earliest sunset at this latitude occurred on 8 December at 1648 so sunset has been getting later and later for a month. On 6 January, sunset occurs at 1703 which, of course, is only 15 minutes later than that of 8 December. Nevertheless, it's changed noticeably.

I've been noticing it every day since I travel from work at the same time. Tonight, the sunset was the most beautiful I've ever seen in the sky. The clouds were orange, to almost red, and it reflected off of the river in a mirror image. God! I love my river!

It's probably a good thing people can't reach through the screen and bitch-slap someone, or strangle them, or take their heads and shake them until they shut up - It's also probably a good thing we can't reach through, grab people, haul them up against us and commit the decadent acts we desire to commit. So I guess it is a good thing our computers do what we need them to do and not want we want them to do, because we'd misuse the power. - My random blurt.

I went to my last poker tournament for the next few years (decades? We'll see) yesterday. I only lasted an hour. Unfortunately, my father lasted another 6 hours longer than I did, winning the whole thing. the problem? He was my ride home...
I wish I had never gone, like my original inclination had told me. I would actually be happy for my father, and I wouldn't have felt like I wasted the day.
