I can't say about one episode near the end of the first season, as the DVD is corrupt and has been since I bought it, but Jon Crichton doesn't kill anyone himself on Farscape until Season 2 Episode 4, "Crackers Don't Matter" (humans are superior), when he kills T'Raltix. Pretty impressive for how much trouble they put his character through up to that point, and all of the times he has been shot at and such.
