I love my kids.

They "cooked" me tomato soup for lunch all by themselves (with Amy watching of course).

Then they cuddled with me while I ate it just to "keep me company".

It is 50 degree Fahrenheit outside and I have my air conditioner on because my PC heats up the room that much.

home from a weekend with my extended family. Life is good, and my family rocks. :)

Thank fucking God that's over. And it wasn't even so bad, all things considered, but that's none of their doing.

I have a new slight girlcrush.

Gooey, slobbering Nikka awesomeness. (Otherwise known as Like A Feather)

If it doesn't do something for you in any capacity then, dammit, you're just not human. I'm not even sure I could associate with you anymore, in that event. *

Rock on, sistah Safe. Glad to know you like her. *applauds*

Shit! I forgot to change into my asbestos panties before I watched that video! Nylon just doesn't hold up under high temperatures!
(Damn noisy smoke alarm!)

I think one of the most annoying habits of my former hostparents is their uncanny ability to completely exaggerate absolutely anything. If it's done once, it may be cute under the right circumstances, but they act like this about anything I do.

I cooked (nothing too fancy), I set the table, I served simple salad from a bag with dressing from the bottle. They acted as though I just put a seven-course dinner in front of them. When I brought out desert (a couple spoonfuls of vanilla ice cream with some defrosted mixed berries from a bag on top) they just about peed themselves. This may sound cute, but it was fucking uncomfortable. After they started going on about the amazing epic dinner I'd magicked up for the fourth time, everyone else was just looking at each other, sort of at a loss. It was fucking ridiculous.

I think worst was when they'd just walked through the door and sat down, and I mentioned I was in the process of cooking something.

"You cooked?" my hostfather asked, in such a tone that it prompted me to reply in an icy tone despite all my vows to behave during their visit: "Yes, I do that occasionally."

He asked as though he'd never heard me mention that I loved to cook and do it almost every day for my husband. As though he had some secret information that proved I'd never so much as touched a stove before. As though it isn't customary to serve a meal when you have guests that are planning to stay at your house for most of the day.

I went to Pizza Hut for lunch after my workout this morning, and the front doors were locked. I got there 45 minutes after they were supposed to open. I wonder how many other people turned away after not being let in before the employees noticed and unlocked it for me.

Nommmmmmmmmmmm

I just modified a recipe and it was super delicious. Oh. My. God. Yummy.
Hubby is on thirds!
