I hope this works out, for a change... it'd be something to look forward to during this endless drive I'll have.

Yay :)

I have a similar talent.

Blurt: Anyone know how to tell a hardboiled egg from a fresh one, without cracking the shell?

I think there's something to do with how they spin... I think the fresh one wobbles more. Try shaking them vigorously... the yolk might move free and you might be able to hear the difference. Not sure id either will work, and I don't have any myself to test the theory. Hope you figure it out.

Spinning worked - cooked eggs spin like a top, fresh eggs wobble and only rotate a couple of times before stopping.
(Oh and a torch doesn't shine through a cooked egg)

My mom always put an X on the boiled eggs before putting them back in the refrigerator. Either with an ink pen or marker. ;)

Blurt~~ So what comes next? :(

I usually do that too, but had a brain fade and put them back in the fresh egg basket

Y'know, I'm proud of my political party today. Very much looking forward to Obama's speech tonight.
