I won't mind the violin case as long as the stupid people are exterminated. I can't stand seeing stupid people in a store. It makes me feel sullied and unusual.

I was hemorrhaging money at the poker game I just got home from. I lost $60. I had a case of the second-bests. Every time I flopped top two pair, someone else had trips.

Yes, six. The Mens Sabre team upset Russia to get a spot in the Gold Medal bout.
This means that the USA has won twice as many Fencing medals in this Olympics as in the last 100 years.
...and we will either tie for the most or else be beaten by Italy by one, pending results of the second semi-final and the medal bouts.
For all that Michael Phelps has accomplished, and believe me I have been thrilled watching him, this is a much more unexpected accomplishment.
Of course, this is the sport I spend ten hours a week working on, so to me it is personal.
I'm loving this.

i think, though i still have to double check, that we have all of the hotels booked for our trip to the states. And found some interesting places to see on the way back.

I started learning spear today! Woohoo! Longest and most intricate single person form that we learn before testing for our gray sash. I'm so close to Black now that I can almost taste it! (it's still two years away, and I have to keep from blowing out my knees again along the way there, so don't go congratulating me yet)
