I just love when people leave sharp knives blade up on the sink as booby traps.

A small amount of blood can cover a remarkably large area.

I keep seeing new members on Ok Cupid from the town that my cousins are from, and wondering when I am going to see my younger cousin in one of those profiles (her older sister just got married, I don't expect to see her on a dating site any time soon, hopefully). Probably never happen, but I keep my eye out.

That is terrible. I have never been hurt by such inconsiderate behavior, but I have chastised a few family members for partaking in that practice.

Taken a good slice out of the back of a middle finger just below the nail. But it's OK. I just can't type for shit now!

Ouch!

I always put them blade down (and am sure to do the same in the dishwasher.) If I'm washing dishes in the sink, I won't even put them in the water. I do them one by one.

Yes, so do I. This one had been slid in behind the taps and had the blade pointing skyward. It's full stainless, handle and all and blended into the background. I didn't even see it till I'd hit it trying to turn on the tap.

Oh, well. Someone else will have to wash up tonight ...

Yikes.

I sliced my finger open once several years ago (bad enough that it needed stitches). I tend to steer as clear as possible of the sharp ones.

My best ever effort was taking the tip off a finger with a bread knife (this was after hacking up a pumpkin for soup without incident )

I probably shouldn't be let loose near sharp things either!

I got some hair mehndi from luh yesterday because i fancy a change...i did a strand test, but i dont think i left it on long enough...im going to do the whole head today and just keep checking the colour of a little bit here and there after a few hours at a time.

I'm also thinking of keeping some of the mixture for later, and using it to just put in some highlights if i can get mum to do it...

Hopefully by tonight i will be a brunnette :D

Ugh, so, dumbass kid that works for me buys a '96 Mustang Cobra, and believes the dealer that there was only one owner, etc etc. Finds a lovely hole in his gas tank last night...and then calls his uncle who works for Ford, who then does a check on it [gee shouldn't he have done this before he bought the car?], and finds out 5 previous owners, that the odometer is most likely been rolled back, etc etc. Well, kids stuck with the car...there are no lemon laws in VA

one owner since 96... oops... oh dear:rolleyes:

I don't understand. And it makes me angry.

"...and what we do not understand, we start to fear. This fear formed the basis for the song Fear of the Dark, in the process, making members of the band Iron Maiden rich... so the question you need to ask is... what do you want to be -- rich or afraid of losing your riches?"

No damage other than its now sore as hell again but its been checked few minutes ago and it's fine and re-bandaged. Well other than the toddler might have heard the word that I said as I hopped up and down as i came out. We're lucky it was just bugger and i managed to bite my lip before the rest spilled out. I'm sure we'll find out soon if she picked up what mommy said.
