Today my oldest is 11.
He's having a day with his friends playing games, which is awesome for him.
But I'm so sad, today, too. No family time. He was totally underwhelmed with his gifts. His dad can't be here, and L just left, so it's just me here at home feeling totally irrelevent and lonely.
Of course, today isn't about me, really. I just gave birth to him, but it's his day and I need to shake the melancholy off to be in the mood for celebration.
