It's unlikely, but I think I'm right. And if I am, it feels like you're taking what does not belong to you. But that's not true. So . . . so be it.

Having the capacity to hold 500 private messages just means I clean out my inbox/sent items a helluva lot less.

I am so sick of shit going wrong in this house, the previous owners did not know how to fix it all and now we have to replace the oil tank.

What a blah day

Send me good vibes. Something great might be about to happen, and I want it, too, and I'm afraid of it all at the same time.

I'm no longer in control and I don't like it!

Irritated.

I received an e-mail that I wasn't sure was genuine. I tried to contact the organisation that seemed to have originated it - not through links on the email but through Google and government sites - and found a link on a Government site, apparently to that organisation, that made my firewall have hysterics. "Certificate invalid!" "You don't trust that Certificate!" "I don't recognise the certifier!"

I telephoned the Government organisation to get some poor woman who was covering the reception while her colleague was at lunch. I had to direct her to the department I wanted - but she got no answers because "they were all at lunch". She said that she would try to contact someone later and get them to ring back. Surprise. They didn't.

I tried again several hours later and got through to the website of the apparent originator of the email. Finally I got their computer help desk. Their web supplier had changed some things on their web-site without consulting or informing them - hence the "dangerous" link that had now been corrected. The help desk staff were hopping mad because their system was throwing up error messages all over the place because of the "changes made to improve service to our customers...".

Eventually, after forwarding the suspect email to the help desk, it was established that the email was genuine except for a typo or two and their agents had sent out several thousand such emails in the early hours of this morning.

Then I went out to collect a car part I had ordered on Saturday. It hadn't arrived because the remote supplier's computer system had crashed on Saturday afternoon losing all that day's orders. They had asked the retailers to resubmit all of Saturday's orders. My order was the only one on the second page and wasn't resubmitted... I should get it tomorrow... I've dealt with that retailer for nearly 30 years and it was the first time they'd let me down. The owner was nearly as annoyed as I am.

I went to help out at a charity book shop. I advise them on pricing their rarer books. When I suggested a couple of prices, no one had a pencil. The shop opened two weeks ago with two dozen pencils. The customers/staff have "borrowed" all of them...

I'm going to have a coffee and calm down.

I have been fearing this day all my life. She's 6, and I'm not able to help her with her Maths homework without looking it up online.

I have no words . . .

I'm consoling myself with the fact that we have a language barrier. . . I only attended a bilingual High school, not Primary school. Well, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

Name 3 characteristics of a Hexagonal Prism.

And what the Fuck is the difference between a cube and a cuboid??
