I remember when our beloved family dog was killed and my dad found him and brought him home... we wrapped him in a blanket and buried him out by the back fence as a family... all of us, even my dad, crying. We made him a headstone. I so appreciate that my parents didn't try to lie or shield us from the truth... children are people too.

they knew he was ill but he was still only a puppy.


16 months old. dont know how to explain to them that he was so young but he had to go. for them its only older people and animals that die.
