My students are so funny! I gave them an assignment to create ads for undesirable items (stinky socks, three-eyed nuclear frog, used dumpster, etc), using persuasive techniques we learned about. Some of them came up with some interestingly convoluted argument. I'll be giggling for a while :D
 
A non-Valentine's Day poem

I don't write poems.
I don't even think them.
I just live here,
and you live with me, beside me
and I show you I love you
by not complaining about messes you leave
and speaking to you with respect
and gentleness.
I'm so grateful I don't have to
explain myself to you
and when I wake up screaming,
you're there.
I don't need a card on Valentine's Day
or hearts and flowers.
I don't need those things.
I need what you give me
every day.

Tis no battle that poor old thing! The battle is Misty's guilt about batheing said cat. *grin* we had a conversation about that the last time I visited with her.....that cat works her....it knows how to act pitiful. :rolleyes:

oh yes, CC Cat knows when she's to be bathed and sets about becoming a pathetic excuse for a feline for 3 or 4 days so she can avoid it. Oh, and also, there are times where she must feel 'oh, i havent been sick for a while, let's make sure my minion...i mean mistress...is paying attention and loves me enough...' and so she gets sick so she gets attention...

CC has Misty trained rather well :p

Well, said cat is now soaking wet and hiding. She'll come out in a few hours and want to be loved on just to make sure I am not mad at her and punishing her. LOL


I have been planning to bathe her for weeks now, but everytime I mention the word bath....she has one of her "spells". However, earlier this week she was ill and didn't eat for about 3 days and was really quiet. The last couple of days her appetite and her voice returned with a vengence.

So, since I decided not to mow the lawn today, figured I'd take advantage of the situation.:D

No more stinky cat....at least not for a couple of months.:cool:
 
You are so beautiful, so beautiful you cannot see it yourself. I can believe in anything and i want to believe in everything but I'm not sure where the dream ended or where the nightmare begins.
If this was a Tuesday, I'm sure the time would go slowly but it's not and it's streaming by and it's raining and I want to believe in the ghosts and the demons because they used to be my friends but they have gone away.

Anyway. Receipts all gone through now. Money matters sorted. Diary is sorted. Just have to e-mail girlfriends to ask them what date suits for the hen night, then I will be *so* on top of my shit that I will totally and utterly *deserve* to sit here and watch Pretty Woman till it finishes. :D

Got to start the name change process tomorrow....I am scared but I cannot stand having my male name attached to me anymore. Birth certificate...need to stand before a judge and swear that I am not changing my name to hide from anything.
