Well im not about to hand over my card details and pay £17 a month and a £29 joining fee if the duty manager of the gym doesnt even know the terms and conditions of the fucking membership!!! I am NOT willing to pay a direct debit if i DONT HAVE TO (which i dont if i stay where i am) and i am not willing to pay the joining fee again if i need to stop going for a month and cancel my membership.
See, this is how all gyms should do it:
Pay however you want on a weekly, monthly or yearly basis. But only pay when you intend to go- AND NOT BY DIRECT DEBIT. So, i pay my uni £23 a month- which is still £20 cheaper than the other gym near home, and i pay that for the months i go. So when i didnt go in december i didn't need to hand my card over and pay for it

if ever i have to giver info im not sure on, i will ask a colleague in front of the customer for confirmation AND clearly tell the customer that i am not sure and dont want to give them false information.
