I'm asking for donations to the "new laptop for EL" fund for Christmas this year.

Poor prescilal is on her last legs and I need a new'un but their expensive and the more money I can get towards a new prescilla the better :)
thats not a bad idea but not sure if any of them would be willing as I have a desktop already, but man was it nice using the hubbys work laptop for doing my classwork last year.

They did ask about clothes and stuff but I just got jackets the last 2 years and have plenty of boots and I only buy clothes from certain places and I'm picky so hate others picking out anything i dont approve first.

edit~ scratch laptop idea like EL said very expensive and I'd probably buy on ein the states first

Yep very expensive. I'm saving and I'll need the present boost toreach my target *LOL*

How about books, recipe books for example. Hubs is getting me Nigella this year ;)

Or practical things hair dryer/pots/ pans/toaster/ or something like that .

Erm ornaments, expensive choccies, fresh flowers (a luxury item you'd like but can't convince yourself to splurge on *L*)

Any help?

Vouchers are good, if you don;t trust their taste...

Or send them a link to an item of clothing you like online...

Or... um... how about an 'experience' type thing? There's a website called 'red letter days' which offers a good range.

May go with the vouchers idea or just the cash idea. Experience days are a bit expensive for the ones asking. And not sure how to take that last line and probably neither will he since he reads this thread.:(

Is'nt it great getting swallowed up by your old clothing? :) I recently got rid of a bunch of my larger clothes, not ever going back there!
It is... but I will admit there are some clothes I will miss. That wool coat of mine that is now too large is one of them. It's a lovely full length wool coat, black with a hood that is trimmed in really soft rabbit fur. I love it. I couldn't find another here locally, but I did find a tan cashmere full length coat that I believe the spouse will get me. :D It's pretty. :) I also will miss a couple beaded blouses that are now too large for me. But I don't want to go back to them either. lol.d

 Well just make sure to call her or something or do something to show you enjpyed yourself. OMFG I'm turning into the dating police!

No, you didn't. That is wonderful news honey. I told ya you could do it :nana: :nana: :D

I saw her at poker last night, but it seemed like she was ignoring me. That might just be to keep the poker people from talking about it just yet (they don't know yet, I don't think). I should call her today. I should have called her yesterday but I was on my ass sick and asleep for most of the afternoon.

I'll refrain from saying all I want to say about this, but I will say I'm going on drugs for some help with my attitude/mood. Assuming you know the circumstances, your joke was quite distasteful and hurtful for both myself and CV. It's a pity there isn't anything that can be given to others for their attitudes sometimes.

Regards,
K.

sounds like your doing the right thing.

why do I have to wear a white shirt every time they serve pasta? Why? Why?

And let's say the shirt is equally black and white. Why does the past have to ricochete only over the white spots?

Is there no reason?

I've had a brilliant idea...but unless i can get my hands on a graphics program i can use well enough, i will have to hand draw the damn things...but that could also be amusing...:D

I like it when my characters' dialogue flows so naturally it basically writes itself. :)
