Which means that by lunchtime you're going to be tired and cranky that you'll end up sleeping all afternoon, and we won't be able to go on any trips anywhere.

Tried conforming. It drove me insane. People know when you're trying to conform and use it to twist your actions and psyche into new and interesting shapes.
