Mine healed really quickly, maybe two months tops and I was changing it out. No saline needed, either. I just washed it a couple of times a day with anti-bacterial soap, and that was it.

Just wear hip-huggers till it heals. Actually, plan on wearing all pants, skirts, etc., below your navel as long as you have it. Getting it caught on something, even after it heals, hurts.
