I have found my new dream toy!

A Piaggio MP3 Scooter!

Its only $7000 or so

Surely there is someone out there that either wants me to write a glowing review of what an amazing vehicle this is or just loves me so very much they will buy it for me just to make me the happiest geek on the planet!

Anyone?

Anyone?

Why are those damn crickets chirping?

I'll trade you my wife for the scooter. She may not be perfect, but she's very low mileage, built for comfort not for speed, and there's a very good chance she plays for your team rather than mine already.

To me, it looks too much like an Ariel 3-wheeler that led to the demise of that much-lamented British motorcycle manufacturer.

Twin wheels on a narrow track have disadvantages compared with a two-wheeler with larger diameter wheels, and do not have the advantages (and disadvantages) of a wide track three-wheeler such as a motorcycle and sidecar or a trike.

I would prefer a good trike, but they are even harder to find than a good scooter in the States. The ideal would be a kit that takes the front end of a VW beetle and mates it to the frame of a BMW or Honda Motorcycle with the front spoke removed.

But those have to be custom built, and I'm not allowed to work with welders anymore :(

God, I want you...I want to kiss that freckle right above your bellybutton...lick your jawline...kiss you hard... :catroar:

PetroChina Begins Bohai Bay Petroleum Production

PetroChina Starts 1st Offshore Production in Bohai Bay Block
Fri, Aug 3, 2007 09:37 GMT

BEIJING - PetroChina Co. (PTR) has started its first offshore production in an oil block in Bohai Bay, part of efforts to develop the bay's offshore area which potentially has huge oil and gas reserves, said parent company China National Petroleum Corp. Friday.

On July 29, PetroChina launched a trial operation in shallow water in the Chenghai-1 block, said CNPC on its Web site.

The company designed to drill 37 wells in the block to produce 532,000 tons of crude a year, equivalent to 10,684 barrels a day, it said.

So far, the company has drilled 21 wells, of which eight have been completed. Of the eight, four have yielded high amounts of crude oil and gas, it said, without giving specific figures.

Although the block's designed production capacity is limited, PetroChina predicted the shallow water area had rich oil and gas reserves and would increase exploration, the company said.

The block is near to PetroChina's latest big oil discovery in the Nanpu block. In May, PetroChina said it had discovered 1.02 billion metric tons there, or 7.33 billion barrels of oil equivalent.

Reserves in the Bohai Bay could total 20 billion tons of oil, with half of them undiscovered, the Xinhua News Agency reported after PetroChina's big find, citing Zhai Guangming, an expert at the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

PetroChina is China's onshore largest oil and gas producer by output, but has limited offshore operations because the Chinese government only allows it to develop coastal shallow waters with a depth of no more than five meters.

Wish I knew why I was so down, not just on myself, but in general terms. It's not healthy I suppose - wishing for an early grave and all isn't the most positive one can feel.

But that's the funny part - do I want to die? Does anyone? If death is the big emptyness, the oblivion one endures when one sleeps, then do I really want that? And at the same time, if that's the case, then life and everything it brings is pretty much worthless. No matter what we do, what we are, what we become and how we treat others - all of it is for nothing. When you're dead, it doesn't matter what's in your bank account, how wonderfully you treated others, how much you cared - it's unimportant. You were here for a blink-of-an-eye existence and now, you're either worm food or a pile of ash. Weeks after they send you off, you'll be forgotten. Unimportant.

Remember that when you're talking to someone, when you think you've done something amazing, when you're going about your business. It's all for nothing - so, why do we bother?

Maybe one day I'll write something optimistic. Something where I say that the world is a wonderful place. Where no-one hurts me or anyone else - when it's truly a peaceful, beautiful world.

But somehow, I just don't see that happening.

That got me started and lead me to The Carver

Loving the look and the press kit but for $48,000 its a bit... overpriced.

If they can get it down to 15,000 or below I would be at teh dealership teh first day the roll off the docks over here.

America really needs to start thinking outside of teh box with transportation ideas.

{{{{hugs}}}}} Don't you believe it. Everything we do and touches sends out ripples. I believe that everytime I make someone smile, it lifts a little bit of the pain from their life. Haven't you heard the amazing affects that laughter has on the healing of the body? Go make somebody laugh. Making life better for others is a damn good reason for living. :rose:

That's going to be my business when I retire in a few years. Trikes are the way to go and i have ideas fore several different types. If I can keep the price to about half of what a new Harley or Honda trike costs then I won't be able to build them fast enough.... Most of what i see out now from small companies offer v-8's and are shadily built for the most part.

I want to base one on an inline four cylinder, probably the old b-2000 motor which I can get as a crate engine. The other will be based on the front wheel drive units from Chrysler cars. anywhere from 1800 to 2500 cc.et better here in the oil fields... If i do it right I can even offer air conditioning and heat on the latter model..

I may retire early if shit don't get better here in the oil fields. The assholes and idiots are running the asylum and I'm damned tired of it.

I second that. If I feel like crap and make someone else smile or laugh or feel loved it makes me feel wonderful as well. :)
