Regarding characters, I know the feeling at times. Although mine are usually thick-skinned in some ways, I end up feeling some kind of empathy for them. I just often battle with them about the direction of the story.

I meant real, real life friends. People that I go out of my way to hang out with, and people who do the same for me. People who offer help when I need it, and accept my help when I offer it.

All I have are acquaintances. I either don't know how to make friends, or I just live in the wrong area and never meet the right people that I would be compatible with.

And since I don't have any real friends, I spend a lot of time online, because I have nothing better to do at this point in time.

I know that feeling. In my case, though, it's usually how extremely jaded and paranoid they tend to be. It's as if that side of me comes out a lot IC. They have baggage, too, I guess, if they're that convinced that none can be trusted.

Speaking of SRPs.. thank you. That was fun to write. I didn't want you thinking that Klaus was getting soft. He might have a soft spot for Adalina to some extent, but it comes out in a mercenary's way. The same with Vittoria...but he has no compassion for the priest and most of the nuns, whom he knows are corrupt. Any conflict that he has is due to his belief that the church, while corrupt, is still doctrinally right, so he doesn't want to burn in Hell.
