Thank you, lovely people. It was just a quiet reflection moment.

I had that problem when I was young.... I had to eat twice as much just to maintain my weight....

Then around 40 my metabolizium changed and now....  Anything I eat goes straight to the belly... and that includes my ass and hips..... *sigh*

Just to warn ya... enjoy it while you can.... :rose:

Well see I have two things working against me, my mother and father both have high metabolisms, 47 and 59 respectively. My mom's been the same weight since she was 16 and she's had three kids. But I'd love to have anything go straight to my ass, I need one! lol And it's not like I don't have the bone structure, my hips are at about 37 inches and my bust is about the same, hell if it wasn't for my hips I could wear pants 1 or two sizes down...

you can have 15 of mine if you want - hell, have 30, I'm feeling generous!

ps- on a more serious note - good luck, I had a friend in the same situation and she got very frustrated with people who didn't understand.

I'd take it if I could, as long as it didn't go straight to my boobs when I took it, lol. But I don't know why people don't understand, it's like they refuse to. They think it's so easy, but they forget to take into consideration that people underweight tend to be hypoglycemic and get migrains like I do. When I weighed more I didn't have nearly the problems with either, but now that I'm not on the Amitryptiline or however you spell it my weight went right back down.

And it's not like I don't eat, because I do. People say to eat more fatty and more carbs, does eating McDonald's for lunch just about every day at work and eating something pasta for dinner at home count? If it doesn't I don't know what the hell to do, lol.

Why did I ever, ever think that having children was a good idea?

And why does everyone stick me with their kids for days on end?

There are three boys in my living room that are walking the razor's edge right now. One more misstep and I swear they're ALL sleeping out in the shed.

I'VE HAD IT.

I really think that kids are like cats: they gravitate to those who don't like them.

(thanks, though. :rose: )
Act like a Nazi, they'd LOVE that!

You're very welcome.

ROFL!

There's a method to my madness, I swear....

I told them ten minutes ago that the next word I heard out of any one of them, they were all going to bed - no more movie. (they've been bickering enough to make me pull my hair out)

I just peeked in there, and every one of 'em's dead asleep.

:D :D :D

hi, darlin'

(flamenco is just as hard as ballet, babe...be prepared)

Hey babe.
Glad the rugrats went down without further problems.

I have no doubt but it's dancing so it's worth the sweat, blood, and tears, in my mind at least. I want to learn how to do it alone though, and the only couple of classes I've tried have been pairs. :(

I grew up in an old Spanish town, and several of my friends took flamenco from the time they were very young. Not many appreciate how truly difficult an art it is, but you're right - very worth it...it's beyond beautiful to watch when it's done right.

The thing about it, though, is that it truly is a couple's dance.

Have you ever though of trying Belly dancing? It may be a group class but it's something that I've learned from watching a local troup that anyone can do if they put forth enough effort.

It's harder with two people though. :p The timing and the knowledge. If I stuck with the classes I probably wouldn't have minded the clueless boys after they learned more and I would have understood what I was supposed to do as well. Maybe I'll try again some day. At least ballet and tap were groups or solo. Never got into the pas de deux parts.

I've taken a couple classes, once as a special thing through my dance studio, once as an actual project for college. It's a workout, my abs were sore the next day! Did you try it?

During a local Renaissance Faire about a year and a half ago the local belly dancing troup did a half hour lesson, it was really fun. Though I really would like to try it while not wearing a steal boned bodice, lol.

*wincing and gasping for breath*
That had to be nearly impossible. Much better with a tank top or leotard. Definitely try it out again minus the corset top. It can be fun to tease people, a husband perhaps, with. ;) Not too mention a really fabulous ab workout.

All this talk of dancing....Now I have to find a tap studio with classes I can get to. :D

I'm used to wearing bodices, it wasn't as difficult as any of the dancers thought it would be, either that or I was better at it than they expected, lol. But I'm sure he'd love it, just have to find a studio I don't have to drive a while to in order to take lessons, not to mention the cost. Big thing is also getting me to do it in front of people, one on one is one thing but with a class full of people I know I'd be less confident...
