I have been very patient and understanding about you not being able to send me my check, however, it is time for you to close this debt. If this debt is not closed by Friday, March 20, 2007, I will be filing a grievance with the Department of Labor Wage and Hour along with beginning the proceedings of small claims court for which I will be adding in costs of legal representation and court fees to the amount you already owe me.

I am not going to allow this debt to go uncollected with promises of "two days" any longer. Please see below paragraph for pay owed.

Not long til Easter now and everyone knows Birthdays and public holidays are calorie free.

Also, if you're gonna eat any chocolate, that super dark bitter chocolate is by far the best for diets

*grins* and how i wish birthdays and public holidays being calorie free applies to me. With as much candy as his family gives out at holidays and birthdays I'd be lucky to stay in my skin.

Yes, pretty good, Vella, but I always like to insert a note of regret, so as to add a human element to their desire to pay ("Yeah, I'll pay V instead of that other unpaid bill this week - she was nice"), and to do even more to not burn bridges. So my version would be like this:

I have been very patient and understanding about you not being able to send me my check, however I REGRET THAT IF THIS debt is not closed by Friday, March 20, 2007, I WILL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO FILE a grievance with the Department of Labor Wage and Hour AND INITIATE proceedings IN small claims court, WHICH WILL JUST ADD MORE TO YOUR COSTS, ON TOP OF THE PAST DUE AMOUNT.

(And the date doesn't matter either - "Department of Labor Wage and Hour" is the key phrase there.) My essay has begun to write itself finally, and if i get a comprehensive list of poitns/ plan done i think i could whack out a fair half to three quarters of it before i go to bed tonight. I only have 2 hours of lectures, 1.5 hour of journey home and half hour of dinner to get in my way. *nod* i can do it. I can read my txtboook on the way home to gather my thoughts. I can do it, i will do it.

Im in a better frame of mind to do it in too.
