Everyone is looking for something.

Well, maybe, but if they (we?) are looking for that 'something' from you then doesn't it mean they (we?) think you can provide it? And if that's the thought behind it all, then its very suggestive of how they (we?) view you in their (our) lives, right? Even if at the end of it all, you can't provide what is sought after, you still give something that people can take away with them- a gift in some form to carry on the journey. Maybe that's the 'something' by the end of the quest, and they (we) didnt know it at the time?

You're a source of many things, but it's only natural to want to look for those 'something's' yourself, in someone else.

They'll (we'll) thank you for everything you give and do when we open our eyes and realise.
