Thank you

I think it's just a general theme on Lit, no? It always seems so difficult to get a poem to be over ten votes, or at least it has always appeared that way to me. I try to vote on poems a lot, just to help raise the vote count a bit.

It's understandable, since this is foremost a porn site, but I still find it so frustrating sometimes.

'scuse the ramble.

I think I've gotten three votes tops but the comments were so kind I couldn't complain.

It is odd to troll anything. . .*sigh* A lot of my poems are 5's, but not even close to getting 10 votes. Wonder if it has been asked of Laurel to make poetry 5 votes for Hot?

Well I don't wish to cause offence to our general readership... But poems are often quite technical pieces of work and require a brain to appreciate them... Most people who read on lit have only one thing on their mind and limited appreciation power (that was kind wasn't it). Ergo 75% of the readership don't even bother to read poems, not enough stroke play involved... Ergo, less voting public

Trolls will never make sense to me, either, Red. If I read a story and decide that I don't like it, I don't hide behind "anonymous". I give my username, explain why I don't like it, and do so without trying to personally attack the author. But trolls...I've been hit by a few and I'll never understand their pure negativity.

That's a good point also. I get why people don't vote, but trolling poems is just odd.

Good night :rose:

It's called jealousy and or tactical voting dear ;)

They hide behind annon cos they don't want you to know they are authors here protecting their own 'H'

LOL. That could be. If so, their bad spelling is a clever ruse to throw us off.

That's true. The comments I get are usually very kind, occasionally a suggestion at improvement by LeBroz, which I appreciate very much.

I have one poem that has more than ten votes. It's submitten in German Lit, and it is the only poem in the illustrated category. Go figure :D

I think that would actually be a very good idea.

I know... but that doesn't make it any less sad. At least the erotic or illustrated category should attract the interest of the more, um, simple minds.

Illustrated yes maybe... pictures do help them appreciate I believe ;)

Then I don't want to imagine what it means that my illustrated stories and poems have extremely low scores.

:D

A family argument:

Sister: I've asked C (her husband) three times to fix the lock on that door. It's not on - he's had plenty of days off to do it.
Mother (trying to soothe the situation): Can he do it?
18 month old nephew, who's a Bob the Builder fan: YES HE CAN!
Sister: I'm afraid I don't share your optimism!

That evening, after a snippy exchange, a frosty silence descends. My nephew comes in, peers suspiciously at the two of them and says in a ghostly Sixth Sense type voice: "Hallooooo?"

I take my nephew out to play in my car so that his parents can discuss things - he likes to work the windscreen wipers, the CD player, the air vents, horn etc. It turns out he's memorised the inside of my car pretty well, because as soon as he's inside he points to the glove compartment and says: "Sweets?"

He knows where I stash my biscuits in my room, too
