why do i always feel sad? even when i'm happy there's this underlying layer of sadness that i can't ease, despite everything. there's something missing. it's like a dull ache. i know what part of it is, but it seems like i'm cursed....like i had my one good shot.

i miss unconditional love. family...a female....

i want to curl up and really not go to work tonight. :( :(

Aww, that was so cute.

Don't know how many of you remember the old game shows on Nickelodeon like Double Dare or Legends of the Hidden Temple. Well, there's this channel that shows then all the time. I like to watch them because it's kind of funny to look back. I especially like it when one of the prizes is something like a Nintendo Entertainment system, or a Commodore PC. :p

Anyways, Just now on Legends, the host was interviewing the team members that had made it to the last competition stage of the show. Now, usually these hosts have little cards with the contestants names and something they like to do, then he asks superficial questions about that. Anyways, he read the card for this one girls and says "All I have on here is that you like to smile." She says yeah and he asks her how long she's been smiling. She says, "Since I was real little." And he asks "Do your cheeks hurt from smiling so much?" She says yes they do sometimes.

Kids can teach us so much. I find it telling that the thing she loved to do most was smile. I should be more like that.

I enjoyed Legends of the Hidden Temple. :D Yeah I know, I'm 33. . .but I have kids remember. :D I also liked "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiago" but not the newer one, I liked the original. :D

Ooh yeah. I loved Nick Arcade too. Mostly because I was (am) obsessed with video games, and I wanted to see if they had Sonic the Hedgehog. >.<

The first time I watched this channel with my sisters, a show called Get the Picture was on. Mike O'Malley was the host, and not a very good one at that. Kept tripping on his words and not knowing what to do sometimes. >.< Anyways, one of the questions was "What newlywed couple starred in the movies Days of Thunder and Top Gun?" The answer was of course Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise. >.< One of the prizes was an NES. I was hooked.

True. They only show Double Dare 2000 on this channel, which is cool too.

Get the Picture is on right now.

And mom's making cookies. :D

Over the hill at 21? Nah . . .
Gots some stuff to deal with, though. Stuff that was necessary to cope and survive situations as a kid become thought patterns and behaviors in adulthood that hold us back.

Every day I wake up and realize just how much I am in love with her, and the more I fight it the deeper I fall.....

Actually, a giant asteroid could come hurtling out of space at any moment, slamming into the earth and plunging it into a multi-year winter that would cause a massive die-off of species, including 99.999 perent of all humans, which would make things much, much worse for everyone. But what the heck - one worry at a time . . .
