Oh, I might have to rework that idea.

On your sig quote....

The Pine Tree is Medicine Sacred to the Cherokee People
The limbs hanging down indicate it is conversing with Grandfather Rock
Grandfather Rock is what carries Mother Earth and holds in her molten heart.

If today is any indication of how 2007 is going to go... I might as well go hide under a rock and stay there.

right back at ya Pops..

good to see you again, my friend...

blurt:

why do all of my "strengths" have to turn into liabilities? I'm sure this is a challenge we all face...but it is just bugging me right now...since when did patience move from the asset column to the liability column?

*sigh*
We will persevere. I have another one that goes with patience. It's called "stubborn".

I keep finding 'snow' in the most random places!
My bra, my boxers, my pockets, shoes, socks!

mmmm, you naughty naughty young lady...pouring a huge cup full of 'snow' down the back of my boxers was not amusing...what WAS amusing was when you helped fish it all out ;)

busy, conflicted, all that...the norm. :D

most of the times I want to complain, I just look around and realize how blessed I am compared to so many others.

sure...I have troubles. but they are largely troubles about fulfilling dreams and ambitions, not about food on the table...

I am a very lucky man.

Not quite a blurt but I didn't know where to put it and it needs to be out of me.

The price of friendship.

Well, I think I'm gonna discover it soon enough. A good friend of mine, a man I love dearly has sent me a story to edit. Not even one page into it and the story was screaming 'pedophilia' at me. This man is not in the habit of writing things like that, I'm not even sure if it was his intent for the story to appear this way...but I got sick to my stomach trying to read/edit it.

Because he's my friend, I kept on and read/edited/commented on the whole story.....I arrived at the last page to find out that the story isn't finished and my last comment on the story was to tell my friend that if what will be written next is on the same vein as what I've read so far to not even bother sending it back to me...that I don't want to read it, edit it or even hear about it.

Could I have been nicer and telling him? Yes sure I could...but I'm not known for my particularly 'nice' tongue when something is bothering me and reading such filth coming from him threw me.

I don't know how he'll take my comments, how he'll take that I hightlighted and commented on every single instance where I saw his story falling into the pedophilia slope.

Sigh....when will I learn to not befriend my writers huh? It was much easier when I was known as the 'heartless bitch'. :(

We've had discussions about this here before, and one thing always seemed clear to me: There is a distinction between attraction to post-pubescent girls (or boys) who are legally "children" because they are under age 18 (in the U.S.), and between an attraction to pre-pubescent girls (or boys). If the "pedophilia" is of the first type then in my view he is not truly a sicko. If it is of the latter, then he should seek psychological counseling. Especially since he thinks it's OK enough for him to share his sick fantasies with you.

I would be curious to hear which this is.

Best wishes. :rose:
