Umm...well, I've used this before, but I don't know how good it is: social fatigue? AKA social exhaustion. Basically what it sounds like, a condition of being tired of large social gatherings.

Well, after two weeks it's finally over. I got a phone call earlier this afternoon from my friend. She'd been in the hospitol basically for over a month, geting tested for various diseases, including cancer. I found out today that she does NOT have cancer, and is finally out of the hospitol and doing well. We're going to get together tomorrow afternoon and celebrate with pizza and movies. To say I'm relieved is an understatement.

Ah, I see. Shucks. I thought I might have been in a position to help. My bad. It was the only thing that came off the top of my head. How about a standard "morning sickness" or other pregnant woman ailment? It would be very believable, yes?

Didn't know it was for that. Darn. Well, it was worth a shot. Never tried for a birthday, so I see your point. Just take as a friendly suggestion for another occasion.
