Just a Pep Talk Blurt. . .
The new milestone date for me is October 24. . .that is the Surgery date for my Gastric Bypass. My daughter was born this day 3 mths early and she weighed only 3 lbs, she was only a half inch longer than a Barbie Doll. . .12 years to the date. I don't believe anything will happen to me and I'll be okay.
((reminds self to come back here and read this often, as the day gets closer))

PLEASE keep in touch about this, Ive contemplated having one for 4years now and the dr still will not book me in with a specialist because they wont do them unless you are 200+ lbs over weight. Remember Im in Canada!

I will do that.
I spent 5 years researching it and finally my husband's insuranced stayed the same long enough to finally get approved. Our biggest concern was the fact I am not really unhealthy. I am overwieght, but I only suffer from joint pain, back pain, and high-blood pressure. I only take meds for the bloodpressure. I had to do at least 12-18 mths of consecutive weigh in with a doctor. . .after 3 insurance company changes I had 24 mths of weigh ins and had tried medication for weight loss. I know there are risks, but I also know I want to be here for my grandkids and I won't be if I don't do something drastic. Thanks for thinking of me. I may start a thread for support, because I know there will be times I get scared and will need some encouragement as the day gets closer and once it is done too.
